higu rose is a self-taught illustrator, cartoonist, painter, ethnographer, and local terror living in pittsburgh, PA. inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese gay comics and eastern orthodox iconography, higu paints with rich colors and creates ink illustrations that feature intricate linework. higu has self-published over 10 autobio and fiction graphic novels that focus on the experiences of being black, queer, and trans. critics have referred to higu's autobiographical graphic novel "TITTYCHOP BOOBSLASH" as "the best trans comic" of 2017.
