Dana Liebermann
Dana Liebermann is a fine artist who makes visually disorienting photographs that explore the connection between ones internal psychological experiences and ones physical experiences as a means of questioning perceived reality. She is interested in projects that use experimental photographing techniques and is driven by the process of preparing and planing images. Her early work was autobiographical, reflecting on memory, childhood, and illness. Dana’s current work are photographs of imaginary environments made by constructing and arranging objects in staged spaces. Her work was shown on three occasions at the Smithsonian Museum of Art in Washington D.C. She exhibited in group shows in New York including at Zone Chelsea and Guild & Greyshkul. Dana received her art degree from New York University in 2005. She then lived and worked as an artist in New York before spending several years traveling to places such as Budapest, Berlin, and Oxford England. Dana currently lives in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
