Christopher Boring
Christopher Boring is a resident of the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. He earned his Bachelor’s in Fine Art from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a concentration in Drawing and Painting. While Boring’s work depicts images of rocks, woods, and sidewalks; his body of work explores the memories buried with in mundane objects, places he walks, and moments in time.
His work has been shown throughout the region, including solo and group shows at: Erie Art Museum, Academy Center of the Arts, Brew House Association, Monongalia Arts Center, Sweetwater Center for the Arts, Three Rivers Art Festival, and Future Tenant.
“My current artwork enjoys exploring mundane scenes and organic imagery. I focus on wood, rocks, sidewalks, bricks, and materials that are seen every day. By focusing on those subjects I heighten the attention on individual moments and the parts of life that most viewers overlook or ignore.”
